Laptops being a bit screwyer than usual, so history class will be up after I get back from work.

It might look like Daniel's napping on his desk, but that's just a figment of your imagination.

His office hours are open.

That would be the sound of Daniel managing to fall spectactuarly down the stairs.

And he hasn't even been drinking tonight. Woe.

He probed at his head and groaned.

Daniel's in the middle of a long email back to Colorado, but the door's open, so feel free to interrupt him.

Daniel's office was, well, office-like.

There was a desk and chairs and bookcases. Lots of bookcases. Some filled with dusty books and artefacts(He's only been back a week and hasn't even finished unpacking yet; do you really think he's got around to dusting yet?)

Daniel himself is doing something on the computer. Who knows what? It might involve expensive gifts to apologize with, which, as this is Daniel, is always possible.

The door is ajar for any students, or anyone else who's learnt -- or wishes to learn -- that bothering Daniel can be a great sport.

Daniel was multitasking.

He was unpacking and making book lists for class and shopping lists for himself.

Although it actually looked rather a lot like he was watching Mythbusters.

Funny that.

Daniel thinks he's got everything he needs.

Or at least he hopes that he's got everything.

The apartment is mostly tidy and his freezer is full of ice-cream.

He makes himself a cup of coffee, and sits down to review his flight details one last time.

He'll have just enough time to grab lunch in town before he has to leave for the airport.

Daniel opened the door to his apartment for Jenny, quickly glancing around to check that there was nothing incriminating around.

Especially something of Janet's.

Because that would have been bad.

"Excuse the mess," he said again.

Daniel knew he had new neighbours.

But he really wasn't up for being social.

He just needed to get the conclusion written on this article, then he could send it off and forget about submitting to journals for the rest of the summer.

Or at least until he was finished in Egypt.

OMG!! wee!kids!!

He got the letter yesterday, and hadn't bothered opening it until after the archaeology class.

When he did, he had read through it twice to make sure it said what he was sure it said.

This was... well, interesting to say the least.

Daniel hadn't slept well last night as he thought about it.

This morning he was looking at it again, frowning slightly.

Sighing, he folded it back up and placed it in his pocket.

He needed to talk to some people before he made any decisions, and to do that he was going to need to go up to the school.

Maybe he'd get some coffee and walk there through the park?

Having spent the last few days *handwavily* painting the bathroom and study, Daniel was all set for a quiet night in with his book. Yay books.

Daniel had spent a good portion of the day eying up various rooms and paint chips. He was planning on staying in Fandom for the entire break, so he figured he might as well get some more work done on the apartment.

Right now, however, he was at least trying to clear some of the seats and surfaces, waiting for Janet.

Is not freaking out.

Really.

No matter what Blair might have said during archaeology earlier, he was not freaking out.

He was a calm, mature, responsible adult.

And he really wasn't thinking about the girls. No. Not at all. Really.

He so wasn't getting a decent night's sleep tonight.

The lights are down low.

Soft music is playing.

Daniel's all nicely dressed up.

And is clearly terrified, as he keeps glancing across at the clock.
